How Should Muslims Celebrate Eid?
What should Muslims do on the day of Eid? What is the Sunnah to be observed?

Eid ul Fitr Sunnah

The Sunnah (Etiquette) that Muslims should follow on the occasion of Eid are listed below: 

(These are extracted from hadith sources and Quran) 

• Doing ghusl before going out to the prayer. (Al-Muwatta’ 428.)
• Eating before going out to pray on Eid al-Fitr. ( Al-Bukhari, 953. ) 
• Takbeer on the day of Eid. (Irwa’ al-Ghaleel, 1/121) 
• Offering congratulations. (Al-Fath, 2/446.) 
• Adorning oneself on the occasion of Eid. (al-Bukhaari, 948. ) 
• Going to the prayer by one route and returning by another. (al-Bukhaari, 986) 
• Don't forget to celebrate Eid with the poor!

Sunnah Of Eid Ul Fitr

Celebrate Eid Ul Fitr inline with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad  ﷺ.  Cut off little from your shopping expenses for those who cannot afford to celebrate this day. Don't wash off what you have earned in the blessed month of Ramadan. Don't go for Movies, party, etc as usually, we think to celebrate with because these things just put in vain all those we have from the month of Ramadan!
