✹ Sunnah Of Males to be Performed At Home:
- To be kind towards one's spouse and children. This certainly helps in attaining happiness which can't be attained by harshness.
- Ayesha (ra) relates that the Prophet Mohammad SAW said,"When Allah- may He be glorified- wills some good towards the people of a household, He introduces kindness among them." {Musnad Ahmad and Sahih Jamil}
- To help in the household The Prophet SAW would often sew his own clothes, mend his own shoes and help in the other works whenever he was at home.
- Being affectionate towards family members and joking with them. The Prophet (PBUH) often said: "Everything in which Allah's name is not mentioned is idleness and play, except for four things: a man playing with hisss wife...." {al-Nisha and Sahih Jami}
- Resisting bad behaviour and characteristics like lying, backbiting , gossip, etc. amongst the members of the household. Hazrat Ayesha (ra) reported: "If the Mesenger of Allah came to know that one of his household had told a lie, he would try to ignore him until he repented." {Musnad Ahmad and Sahih Jami}
